Guest guest
I don't think you should supplement with potassium but instead add high potassium foods to your diet each day and see if that improves. Supplementing with potassium is very tricky and it is easy to get too much. Cheri -----Original Message----- .It's very confusing as I have had a lot of stress lately and a couple of weeks ago I slipped on some ice and hit my head quite hard which I think shook me up as well.Anyone have any ideas please, thanks. . Guest guest
That could just be the hypothyroid inmasking as you get the adrenals in better shape. HYPO makes me very short of breath. I do ntothink it is from Florinef. The pounding heart can be from sodioum/potassium imbalances or lwo magnesium too. Do you take magnesium? 400 MG at bnedtime cured my pounding heart when I went to 1/2 decaf coffee. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
It's my understanding that if you're taking florinef, it's important to get your potassium blood levels checked on a regular basis. My dr. recommends every 6 weeks. I've found I need to supplement with K-Dur, but everyone is different. Low potassium or high potassium can both be dangerous. **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. I am taking 400 mg magnesium at bedtime already-should I increase this? I plan on increasing the florinef to 1 pill but then maybe I can start increasing the T3 (I am only taking 30mcg at present).Does this sound reasonable? Guest guest
Yes low potassium cn be dangerous, btu everyone seems to forget that low sodium is JUST as dangerous. If in doubt and having scary symptoms, have a CBC or just an electrolyte panel done to confirm what is going on. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I wouldn't assume it is your potassium unless you have it tested and it shows low. I think if your temps are stable you can try increasing your T3. Magnesium can be increased too, but do it in divided doses (not just one huge dose). Guest guest
> > Hi ,feeling quite anxious-as well as the breathlessness sometimes, I also have a sore burning feeling almost constantly in my chest.Could this also be from hypo? I've not yet been able to increase my T3 as I'm waiting for a very late delivery.I'm still pretty worried about the low potassium thing so I've found somewhere where I can order a test kit to have my electrolites tested.I keep worring I'm going to have a heart attack and I'm abit scared of taking florinef now even though I feel I need it just in case it is low potassium.Sorry if I sound panicky-I find self treating quite scary at times.I'm just scared of something going wrong and ending up in casualty having to explain to them what I'm taking and being " reprimanded " for it. > > > > > > > > > > > > >> > >
Guest guest
Hi Cheri, I am taking a pill and my blood pressure is only just starting to rise sometimes and still only around the 100 mark and I feel much better in other ways and feel like my energy levels are improving.Florinef was my last hope to sort my adrenals out-my adrenals seem to have been in such a bad shape I haven't been able to really start on the thyroid properly. Why can't some people take more than a 1/4 pill? I can't remember at what stage I started having these symptoms. > > Have you tried cutting down your dose of Florinef? Guest guest
I think there were tolerance issues. I don't remember the exact reason but some got up to 1 pill a day then ramped down to 1/2 then 1/4. I guess as your body gets better maybe you need less.
