Guest guest
Rhonda, I think it is pretty common with low aldosterone to have low sodium and high potassium. Val on the adrenals group can probably give more info. It does seem odd that you can go so long without peeing if your aldosterone is low. Do you have symptoms of high Vasopressin as that is a hormone that has an anti-diuretic effect. You may want to look into that. --Steph > > > > > > > > > From: kitty Haindl <cubblebubble@> > > > Subject: Re: fainty ..cant stand othostatic hyoptension > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010, 7:08 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Orthostatic hypotension is usually from low aldosterone. Have you had that checked? Extra salt water can help this sometimes though it won't last if your aldosterone is very low. Mine was only 4 <range <=21>, when it is really bad it is called salt wasting. You can take in salt all day and it doesn't matter because you just pee it out. > > > > > > Kitty > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: l <leisamelanie@> > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > Sent: Sat, May 15, 2010 9:01:01 PM > > > Subject: fainty ..cant stand othostatic hyoptension > > > > > > > > > > > > Does extra isocort help the horrible dizzy faint feeling of orthostatic hypotension? Very confused as if sodium even helps it. Maybe its potassium that I should be focusing on...or perhaps more isocort, although I take 14 a day. Unfortunantly coffee helps it in the morning and wine helps it a bit at night. > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Thanks Steph. Who would you see to get a prescription for Florinef. My doc is with Bodylogics, MD. He is not comfortable prescribing this and I think I need to look into it further... I have to say that taking Fatigued to Fantastic has helped with the extra water gain...I think it is the Licorice in it. I am only taking one tab a day; I think the bottle says to take up to two. I am taking this in addition to my adrenal rebuilder, which has about 920 mg per tab of Procine and the other has 35 mg of Bovine only, so I have decided to take both. Thank you, Rhonda fainty ..cant stand othostatic hyoptension> > > > > > > > > > > > Does extra isocort help the horrible dizzy faint feeling of orthostatic hypotension? Guest guest
I have a doctor in land who will prescribe it. I'm not sure if you can get it without an Rx. Have you had your aldosterone tested? If you are low then I'm not sure why your doctor wouldn't prescribe it, although I think it is hard to find docs to prescribe steroid meds. Maybe you can post a question about finding a doc in your area to the group and see if anyone responds. Where do you live? --Steph > > > > > > > > > > > > From: kitty Haindl <cubblebubble@> > > > > Subject: Re: fainty ..cant stand othostatic hyoptension > > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > > Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010, 7:08 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Orthostatic hypotension is usually from low aldosterone.
