Guest guest
Thanks, Val! I am getting a little worried now though, as my heart now seems to be racing - it is around 96 beats a minute and POUNDING, and goes up to like 106 at the slightest stress. I just stood up and felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest! Very scary! I also just took my temp, and it's up to 37.4 (usually around 37.1 - I am post-ovulation). It seems whenever I get the slightest bit stressed, my heart pounding gets even worse and races, and my temp goes up and I start sweating. I did the salt water test and it didn't work. I did the BP test, and my BP goes up when i stand up. And so does my heart pounding and heart beat.. A LOT! So I am guessing then I must need a raise, but could this mean I have TOO much T3? I will be taking my next dose in an hour - should I even take it? I am so worried? What if all this time, my T4 isn't actually being depressed? How would I know? I have been losing weight pretty quickly these past 11 days - over 8 pounds, thus I am worried if my T3 is actually too high?? But I still feel quite tired - I thought hyper meant I was suposed to have more energy? I haven't been sleeping well as night at all anymore since starting T3. Maybe I am hyper, but I'm just tired from not sleeping? I am very scared and I am not sure what to do. Thanks so much! > > Yes this can be a hypo symptomsindicating a need for a raise as well. > > -- > > http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://faqhelp.webs.com/ > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ >

Guest guest
Hi Val, Ok, I lay down with some relaxing music for 20 minutes and I was able to get my pulse down to 78-84(but still pounding, but less). But as soon as I am now sitting up, it is back up to 90. So this means I can possibly cross high T3 off my list, right? My temp is currently 37.2 and I took my 12.5mcg of T3 30mins ago. My heart does seem to be pounding less now, but still pounding. Thanks! > > Poiunding heart is generally an imbalance symptoms but fast pulse ALL > the time and I am talking abotu resting pulse siting stil for at least > 15 minutes is hwo to tell if it is high T3. Guest guest
Hi Val, Thanks for the reply! I don't have any epsom salts with me, but I have some Magnesium tabs - I already take 500mg Magnesium glycinate a day and I have a serving of beans/lentils a day, but I will try take another 500mg and see how that goes! Should I increase my T3 tomorrow still by 6.25mcg, like I was going to? I also lost weight. A recent blood test showed me over the range of T3 at 6.7 with the top of the range being 5.7 so it proved it was too much T3. I have now cut back from 45 mcg T3 to 37.5 and the heart pounding/racing has gone except for the occasional awareness of the heart in bed so its a lot better and I have put back a couple of pounds. Guest guest
Hayley, Do you mind me asking how much licorice are you taking and when you take it as I am considering it? Thanks, Deb in MI Val said my aldosterone is on the low-side, but because I can't get Florinef, she suggested licorice, which I have been on since and have not had any probs with BP (I did once though and had to stop and restart). Guest guest
I think this is important. I have had a pounding uncomfortable heart for 2 1/2 years!! Nothing helped me with this issue. Two weeks ago I started taking high doses of sublingual b-12 and had a dump for 10 days. My temps were 99's all day. At mid-night my temp was 99.6 and I was hot. My heart is much better. My doctor is going to call in shots for me. I have taken the sublinguals for over a year(5,000 mcg) but it didn't seem to work. I took 15-20,000 mcg throughout the day or when my heart would race. Anyone with celiac or low iron probably has low b-12. Seems to help me a lot.

Guest guest
Hi Deb, Sure, no problem! I take a 450mg capsule when I wake up and another capsule with my 3rd dose of isocort for the day (i.e. 8 hours after waking). I'm not sure if this is the right way, but it seems to be helping in some way, as my feet stop burning at night when I add in the licorice! As soon as I stop the licorice, 4 or 5 days later my feet start burning again. I have heard that you should stop licorice for 2 weeks every 6 weeks to keep it working, but I am definitely not going to do that because I don't want to crash my adrenals! So I guess I'm just going to stay on, and keep checking my BP in case it gets high again! Hope this helps! > > Val said my aldosterone is on the low-side, but because I can't get Florinef, she suggested licorice, which I have been on since and have not had any probs with BP (I did once though and had to stop and restart). >

Guest guest
Crystal, thanks so much for writing in! That is so interesting! I had my B12 level checked about a year ago and it was over 1000, but I have still been supplementing with 1000mcg sublingual B12 a day since then. Will look into it again, thanks! Like Val said, I obviously have some imbalance going on, so I've gotta find out what it is! > > I think this is important. I have had a pounding uncomfortable heart for 2 1/2 years!!
