Guest guest
Protease and amylase do not hurt my tender stomach. Betaine HCI and Pancreatin DO hurt. > > > > > > I had my RBC magnesium done after reading Janie's post. I have a Chelated mutli-mineral that was recommended by a acupuncturist, however, it has iodine in it. I am afraid to use this due to rT3 issue. > > > > > > Is it common for rT3/hypo people to have low minerals? > > > > > > Thanks, S > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hmm. Pancreatin is in my enzyme to digest proteins. So far I haven't felt anything, but I do still take my PPI when I first wake up on some days. > > > > > > > > I had my RBC magnesium done after reading Janie's post. Guest guest
Be careful of the proton pump meds. They will keep you from absorbing calcium and can cause osteoporosis. Hmm. Guest guest
Have a look at www.watercure.com - this came out of a situation where the only thing available to treat gastric pain was water, and it worked. When you use a bit of salt as well - which he also talks about, if not on his site then it's in his books - the salt acts as a natural antihistamine and works in a similar way to Proton pump inhibitors because they are working on histamine to reduce the stomach irritation. When you stop taking the PPI there can be a withdrawal period to go through. They need to be weaned, not stopped suddenly.
