Guest guest
>>y saliva tests show high midnight and am cortisol. BUT, had seriously intense bad news two days ago. Had been sleeping well, no hot flashes etc. Past two nights, hot flashes like clockwork, anxiety, even a panic attack, waking every 2 hours. Many symptoms (from what I can tell) of a thyroid dump. My T-3 is low and shrink has written low dose Cytomel. I'm attempting a very slow weaning from klonopin as well.<< With LOW T3 on blood labs this is not likely to be a thyroid dump. It is LOW cortiosl. Weaning off Klonopin while raising thyroid adn adjusting HC is NOT a good idea. It will wait till you are ore stable on the htyroid and adrenal support. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Trying not to be redundant. My gut was low cortisol as well. Is is POSSIBLE, to have high saliva readings from testing during relatively calm couple of months, and actually have truly low cortisol temporarily due to massive stress (news of impending and unexpected death) The first night after getting the news, I'm sure was a panic attack that I didn't expect. I'm doing protein at bedtime. Bought selenium today and will start cytomel even if it's low. Should I even " consider " a wake up at 1:00 am small dose of hc cream?? I will cease weaning off the klonopin right now and go back up to 1.5 mg which at least is less than the 2.0 of klonipin I was on a few months ago. kc in az who is now going to go read more at www.stopthethyroidmadness.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >>y saliva tests show high midnight and am cortisol. Guest guest
Another question. Would Would Vit C help and sea salt be wise for me to take at bedtime for adrenal support instead of hc cream if this is a cortisol drop? I can drink some Vit C powder and put a bunch of sea salt on my night time eggs. again, my CC results are high midnight and am cortisol, after " relative " calm. I am SO VERY THANKFUL to have this group's support. kc in az
Guest guest
Nothing will replace low cortisol except HC or Isocort. The other things, vitamins & sea aslat support the adrenals in healing but do nto replace cortisol nor do they make them produce more. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
