Guest guest
> > You may have both bismuth and mercury toxicity. My dentist had me do a Biotics detox protocol a few months after my fillings came out. His office clearly didn't know a lot about detox and they were trying, but had recently been 'sold' on the concept by the company. I don't recall why bismuth was included in their supplements, but I know I couldn't clear it because a DMPS challenge test a few weeks later showed a bismuth level that was off the charts. The copper & lithium from those supplements had built up similarly. My DO was more concerned about these things than she was mercury...it was my first appointment with her, 5 months post amalgam removal, and my metal levels had come way down from the sky high mercury level one year prior. Is it possible these elements absorbed the DMPS challenge injection more readily and altered the test results? Since then, I've always wondered if I appear to my DO as more of a hypochondriac/supplement freak than mercury toxic. We moved between my diagnosis and amalgam removal, so I lost the benefit of having continuity of medical care. These metals/elements did not show up as elevated in a later hair test, and my lithium is bottomed out in hair tests. But the question of bismuth is interesting because I was actually sicker 6 months after amalgam removal than prior to it and subsequent improvement has been slow. I don't recall why bismuth was included in their You mean they gave you stuff for detox that contained bismuth? How bizarre. Do you know the name of the product? > supplements, but I know I couldn't clear it because a DMPS challenge > test a few weeks later showed a bismuth level that was off the Well, the DMPS challenge cleared a little of it...and put more of it in places where it would do more damage. I think you know to avoid DMPS challenges now, but just a reminder. Low, frequent dosing with DMPS or DMSA will take care of the bismuth. > charts. I think they will pull things somewhat randomly. I would focus on going forward with Andy's protocol and leave the challenge tests and their results in the past. > Since then, I've always wondered if I appear to my DO as more of a > hypochondriac/supplement freak than mercury toxic. I presume you have stopped using those toxic supplements. How much they added to your body burden is difficult to say and is really moot. You just need to get on with chelation. --
Guest guest
, thanks for your comments. Yes, I've been up to speed on a lot of things since ordering Andy's book in December and follow this protocol quite carefully. Had I not connected with it, I would have been getting EDTA chelation treatments by now! Guest guest
Just wanted to add that it is common to get sicker after removal if you do not begin chelation. Some docs like the kickbacks from pushing supplements...beware. Bottomed out lithium means you have mercury in you. Bismuth is really not consider toxic. Just annoying in the metal world. Likely it was moving all those metals around with bad supplements and challenge tests. Andy will help! His protocol is excellent. A life saver for us. Fear not, I have no medical care, and I am healthier for it. > > > These metals/elements did not show up as elevated in a later hair > > test, and my lithium is bottomed out in hair tests. Guest guest
In the description part of my hair test it says that high levels of bismuth can cause constipation or irregularity, which is one of my main problems right now along with a toxic feeling in my body and just unwell wholeness. Would DMSA get mercury out first or the bismuth? Or would both come at at equal rates? Also if I were to take DMSA every two hours would that accelerate results? Thanks. > > Just wanted to add that it is common to get sicker after removal if > you do not begin chelation. Andy says in Hair Test Interpretation that bismuth can cause neurological problems and psychiatric problems, along with various other symptoms. In some cases, bismuth toxicity can be confused with Parkinson's or other neurodegenerative disorders. The book has a couple of pages talking about what bismuth can do to you. It is important to remove exposure. I believe you said you stopped the supplements that contained bismuth. It is also present in cosmetics, diaper rash remedies, and digestive remedies such as Pepto-bismol. Stomach acid blockers can sometimes be combined with bismuth salts. > Would DMSA get mercury out first or the bismuth? Or would both come at > at equal rates? I seem to remember Andy stating somewhere that it comes down pretty quickly when you start chelating. I can't find this in onibasu right now. > Also if I were to take DMSA every two hours would that accelerate > results? Thanks. Only because you are taking a higher dosage per day. Don't get in a rush. As TK always says, this is what gets people into trouble. --
