Guest guest
Lindsey, I just checked the American Physical Therapy Association's by-laws and according to this statement that follows: " Promote the profession of physical therapy in prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention related to impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities " this does not include being able to diagnose a disease like you are saying. I have sent them an e-mail to get further clarification of this statement to see if it includes what you are saying a doctor can. As for an accupuncturist, they can because they are actual doctors, some of them actual M.D.s and DOs for example. But when it comes to actual disease that is done by a doctor.
