Papillomatosis

Hi all,

I regularly check the vulvar area to see if there's redness or any

other change. Now today, I realized a change in the skin. It's hard

to describe, looks like like tiny bumps (lots of them), or like lots

of tiny folds in the skin, the skin is slightly elevated; hard to

say. You can clearly see the change and the surface of the skin feels

kind of uneven. No itching or burning (or hardly any). This is below

the vaginal entrance. And also on the inner labia, where it started a

few months ago. Well, I did some research on the internet and I think

it might be something that is called " vestibular papillomatosis. " But

I couldn't find any other information on this condition. Has anyone

here experienced this? I was wondering, where does this come from?

Will it go on? I hope not, even if it's not dangerous, it looks

really ugly. Is there any treatment for this? Or could it be

something else entirely? I'm going to ask my gyno when I have an

appointment in February. When I asked about those bumps on the inner

labia, she had a quick look and said it was nothing to worry about.

No additional explanation. I will insist next time. But now this skin

condition is spreading, and I want it to stop.

I don't know, it seems like the more attention I pay to the area, the

more irregularities I realize. Maybe I should stop looking. But then,

I know my body and I know when something changes. Do I just

overreact? Do I start making up problems where there are none? Aww,

it's just so difficult to get adequate information.

Well, thanks a lot in advance for your ideas!
