Kristy,

I'm not going to argue semantics with you. Especially when the

definition you gave uses the word diagnosis, because it doesn't

matter. Pt works for a lot of women and for some it does not.

People other than MDs can diagnose certain things. I, for one, am

practicing within my legal scope of practice and competence when I

diagnose mental disorders and I have a master's degree. Nurse

practitioners are able to diagnose and treat many problems.

Acupuncturists (including non-MDs such as my acupuncturist) are able

to diagnose and treat certain problems depending on scope of practice

and competence. Pts are able to practice and in practicing use

interventions to " ...prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and

intervention... " etc.
