Guest guest
Kristy, I'm not going to argue semantics with you. Especially when the definition you gave uses the word diagnosis, because it doesn't matter. Pt works for a lot of women and for some it does not. People other than MDs can diagnose certain things. I, for one, am practicing within my legal scope of practice and competence when I diagnose mental disorders and I have a master's degree. Nurse practitioners are able to diagnose and treat many problems. Acupuncturists (including non-MDs such as my acupuncturist) are able to diagnose and treat certain problems depending on scope of practice and competence. Pts are able to practice and in practicing use interventions to " ...prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention... " etc. Lindsey > > Lindsey, > > I just checked the American Physical Therapy Association's > by-laws and according to this statement that follows: " Promote > the profession of physical therapy in prevention, evaluation, > diagnosis, and intervention related to impairments, functional > limitations, and disabilities " this does not include being able > to diagnose a disease like you are saying.
