Thank you for your email. I am so desparate, I have suffered from Dr ' treatments, even right now . I called Dr Margesson this summer and they are not taking new patients, I asked Dr to refer me to her in Burlington, she said we have to talk about it. I have an appointment with this Tues. has made me worse, she seems inflexible. What is the LS support group? Thanks Sharon

Did you ever get a consult with Dr. Margesson at 's office? I

just had one and she had a very different perspective than .

She's usually up in NH but comes down to Boston every couple of months

for consults. Also, in the LS group really likes Lori Boardman

in Providence - I have her on my list of folks to try if 's

practice continues to disappoint me.

I got my prescription for estrace from my GP. You don't need a gyn specialist

to get a prescription.

I know what you mean, I will probably be in that office quite a bit until this is better. You are lucky you can tolerate the suppositories, I think they would work but they cause a lot of pain for me. I am hyper sensitive. I think Dr is just as knowledgeable as anyone, from the research I have done. She does stick with you too through thick and thin. Hope you have a good follow up appointment. Sharon

Haven't tried zinc yet. I currently use clindamycin in a hydrocortisone

base, 1 gram 2x/week, inserted vaginally. This may be what she's

talking about for you, as the clindamycin is an antibiotic. I feel like

I've gotten a bit better with this but at my first follow up, still had

a lot of inflammation, so we increased it from 1x/week to 2x/week and I

go back in December. I've been at that office once a month this whole

year!

Could you tell me what the support group is for lichen planus? Is it helpul? I am not sure that is what I have, but it is something similar. Thanks, Sharon

You can find the LP group from the Yahoo Groups, just like this one.

Search for the Lichen Planus group. It's much quieter, less posts, but

very nice and will answer questions if you post.
