Guest guest
Tennessee has TennCare. The Bureau of TennCare within the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration is in charge of administering the TennCare program. This link will take you to an overview of the program: http://www.tn.gov/tenncare/forms/tenncareoverview.pdf You have to apply for and be approved for medicaid and then they determine what services you may be eligible for. A friend who lives here (she used to live in Pensacola), tells me it is easier to get assistance in Tennessee than it was in FL with APD. She says, some parts of Tennessee are a little behind in providing services, while others are quite good. She lives near Shelbyville, and recommends this site: http://tnautism.org This is the applicant info page: http://www.tn.gov/tenncare/members.shtml Autism Foundation Tennessee has good info on their resources page: http://autismfoundationoftennessee.org/ Regards, Glenda > > Hi all, > > There is a possibility that we will be moving to Memphis. Is anyone familiar with the laws and programs that are available for our kids there. I have a 17 year old who is severely Autistic and has a one on one behavioral tech with him now. >
