Guest guest
Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro, and all the SSRIs are all vexors of the thyroid hormones. Another type of antidepressant would be a better choice than these. These are always reccommended by doctors now because those are the ones that are doing the best sales for the pharmaceutical companies (they're " hot " merchandise), so those are the ones that the salesmen talk the doctors into treating with. Whatever is popular at the moment, sort of like new fashionable clothing. Wellbutrin is a better choice for a hypo person, if it's even tolerated at all, as so many hypo people don't seem to be able to tolerate antidepressants, particularly those with high blood pressure or other coronary issues. I've heard a few people say that they've even had a not so good reaction to it. If a person has suddenly developed problems with T4 to T3 conversion, when they had no problem already, and they've been taking an SSRI, they needn't wonder why. IMO the SSRIs are some of the most dangerous things to come out on the market. Guest guest
Have you ever hand delivered the proof of power of attorney to the nursing home? Re: Re: Anti-depressants > > Holiday blahs.. Yes, I get them horribly. After just going through my half century birthday with NO calls of even a card from any family member, and now yesterday having an argument with the director of my grandmother's nursing home when I tried opt reach her, I am having my usual holiday blahs. I hate them as I have NO family to spend them with. Holidays are alot of work for a groomer, I had an overload of dogs today and was so tired when I got home I laid down for one of those now rare naps. Slept for 4 hours! Nursing home said my grandmother was " in activities " and unavailable for a phone call. I asked if she was spending holidays with my sister, well they can;t tell me that. Even though they have a copy of my Power of Attorney, which they say they don't have on record. Frustration is just a small thing, and my fury with these people is getting larger. Guess I better go watch a movie and pet my cats, and just be glad I am alive and semi well. > I HATE holidays! Guest guest
Did you get the return reciept back showing who signed for it? If so you could fax them a copy of that saying - well this person signed for it so ask them. Maybe find out the name of someone with power and send them directly registered return reciept another copy. I still have to get through their desk staff to even talk to her,and the one time I visited she was not even allowed out of the building to walk me to my car due to things my sister (who is NOW working there) has told them. They are doing illegal things in their treatment of ME, but nothing I can do about it unless I can get up there in person, which I just can't afford to do, so ???? I can't afford to pay an attorney up there to hand deliver this paper, or I would do that, though they would probably say they have no proof it is ME on the phone. If they want to be difficult to me, and it seems they do, there is little I can do from a distance. They just tell me I have to go through my sister. Well my sister will not even receive my phone calls. She has refused to talk to me since right after she put her in this nursing home and I suggested there might have been other alternatives, like assisted living IF she had consulted ME about this. But then SHE wouldn;t have complete control like she does and like she wants. She has managed to screw me out of anything my Grandmother wanted me to have of her belongings and the only thing I got was her cat which no one wanted. Not even any of her old photos of us growing up which I would have loved to have SOME of. Sorry but this has been going on for a year now and my hands are tied but it doesn;t make it any easier to deal with to know there is nothing I can do. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Guest guest
Hi Cindi, Yes I did tell him that I have heard many doing well on Armour, but he said that my test results were to good to switch my medication. I have tingling in my fingers and my nose will get really cold at times. Just from holding the phone to my ear, will cause my fingers to go numb. It is being so fatigued and brainless that drives me up the wall. I was suppose to have a test for Adrenal Fatigue, but I heard that the blood test was not that accurate. I am looking for someone that does the salvia test, are they better?? Thanks, Kathy Re: Re: Anti-depressants In a message dated 11/25/2004 8:17:51 AM Eastern Standard Time, Wvyorkies@... writes: > My Dr. is no help. I am on synthroid.
