Hynes Convention Center 58th Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Abstract Awards The following awards are available for individuals submitting abstracts to The Liver Meeting® 2007. The application process is conducted through the abstract submitter " Awards " page. All applicants must meet the criteria stated in the abstract submitter in order to be considered for these individual awards. All award applications are peer reviewed. The deadline for submission is June 6, 2006 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time. Young Investigator $500 (12 available) These awards enable young researchers submitting abstracts for the AASLD Research Workshop to receive travel support. Applicants must be 35 years old or younger and fluent in English. Your abstract will only be considered for an award if it relates to the 2007 Research Workshop topic. The topic for 2007 is Regulatory T Cells Intolerance and Immunity to the Liver. Student Research $500 (1 available) Applicant must be a graduate or undergraduate student (i.e. has not received an MD, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree) and is the primary contributor to the research. Research Fellow $750 (1 available) This prize is awarded for the best abstract submitted by a fellow. Pediatric Fellow $750 (1 available) The purpose of the award is to foster excellence in pediatric liver disease research. Only a physician/scientist with a primary appointment affiliation in a department of pediatrics will be eligible. NEW--PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Award $3000 (1 available) This award shall be given to one investigator presenting the most promising PSC research at The Liver Meeting® 2007. All abstracts submitted to the Human Cholestatic and Autoimmune Liver Diseases Category, PSC descriptor will be considered for this award (there is not a formal application process for this award). Notification will be made in August. This award can be used to support travel and accommodation expenses associated with participation in the AASLD Annual Meeting, or for supplies and expenses for PSC research. The awardee will also be invited to attend the PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Annual Conference (www.pscpartners.org).
