Guest guest
Well I know Andy says that too much Glutathione can make mercury more toxic in the brain. He recommends not using NAC because vitamin c, milk thistle and ALA all increase Glutathione. Well I'm only taking vitamin c. I was considering taking taking 100 mg of NAC a day. Any risks I should know of? What dose sounds good?

Any > risks I should know of? What dose sounds good? > I think that you have Andy's advise a little bit confused. He says not to take glutathione by IV because the large amount that will circulate from the IV will drag mercury around often leading to worsening (and he has had many reports from real people who have done this and it made them sicker, some were ok of some IVs and reacted on a subsequent IV). He says not to take glutathione orally because it will probably just get digested to it's components and if it doesn't and pieces leak through a leaky gut it will just stimulate the immune system. He advises to take NAC (see " Amalgam Illness " p 199-200), 500-4000 mg. It is people who already have high plasma cysteine, the ones who can't tolerate sulfur foods, who should avoid NAC until they can. That is only about 50% of toxic folks, and can change with time. There is no test now for plasma cysteine so the only way to know if you are sensitive to sulfur foods is by restriction and challenge.
