Guest guest
I like dill pickles also. I like the glassen refridge pickles. I also like Mount olives. The only thing I stole when I was a child was this really green dill pickle. It was on the small side. When I bit into it it was sweet. Never had one before and don't like them at all Betty Emmons Re: My introduction to the group Okay, here is my confession for the week! Now we'll see how crazy people think I am. My favorite snack is big dill pickles. I buy the huge jar from Walmart. Who does that? Who would eat a dill pickle instead of a doughnut? Yep, I'm nuts! Guest guest
Hi , I am in Canada, so, I don't know if you can get them, I get them from a store called Food basic, and another one called No Frills. If you wish, I can send you some of my home made hot sauce to add to your pickles! Smile! Celery sticks dipped in hot sauce is a great snack! If you eat a lot of hot sauce, it is great for digestion, wait loss, and for the immune system! Go for it! I don't know what kind of hot sauce you use, but mine is extra hot! I have to put a warning on the bottle! Smile! Re: My introduction to the group Hi , Okay, where do you find dill pickles with hot peppers in them? I get the Kosher ones with garlic but I love hot stuff!!!!! thanks for saying I'm not crazy. Okay, how about celery sticks dipped in hot sauce? Is that crazy? I do that too! Guest guest
I like animal crackers and it has been a very long time sionce I had them. My problem today is that I bought a box of silver mint ice cream bars from Schwans and I had two of them today. Bad girl! But I will do some exercises in a little while. My son just helped me to set up my new HD radio and it is a beautiful unit. I have had to learn so much lately it is hard to absorb everything. Guest guest
Actually if you like them I imagine the pickles are much better for you than the doughnuts. I like one slice of pickle on a burger or by itself but I have a hard time eating a pickle because it is hard for me to bite. I need to get some dental work done. ---- Original Message ----- To: <blind-diabetics > Sent: Thursday, August 09, 2012 5:32 PM Subject: Re: My introduction to the group > Okay, here is my confession for the week! Guest guest
Well, you could actually forget the sausage and hot dogs and do your body some good! Remember, moderation is a very good word to keep on hand. I, ffor instance, have 1 or 2 hot dogs a month. And they're turkey dogs, only half the fat. Still, their processed and I guess it's the nitrates, not to mention the sodium, that make these foods bad for us. Guest guest
Since is new to the group, and to hearing about some of the nutritional things we often discuss, let's be sure to make distinctions between foods we can eat, foods we shouldn't eat, and foods we can eat on occasion. , not knowing anything about your hot sauce, I'm always leery of sauces. My cautionary remarks about sauces probably shouldn't apply to all sauces though. What are the carbohydrates in a serving of your sauce? How is it better for us than say, ketchup, or mustard? Guest guest
Dave, I have no idea of the carb count, it has no sugar, and only carbs from the peppers. You use less than a quarter teaspoon, so, I think that the carb count would be negligible! Most other sauces are full of sugar. You would not use my hot sauce in the place of the others, but rather in addition if desired. Re: My introduction to the group Hi , Okay, where do you find dill pickles with hot peppers in them?
