Guest guest
Many years ago I posted here about some boils that were on my leg. I had seen the doctor about them and he just said those are boils that diabetics sometimes get. Thanks to the members here I was encouraged to go back to the doctor and have him prescribe some antibiotics for me. Fortunately for me I did what they said do, and I feel that kept me from having my leg amputated, since I had a serious infection, which needed treating. In fact the members also told me that some dtimes it takes seveeral prescriptions of the same drug to cure the problem. The doctor had to give me three refills of the antibiotic at that time before all the sores were healed, which took taking antibiotics every day for 30 days in a row before I was healed. It happened again a few days ago, several boils appeared on my legs and itched very badly. I got the core of the boils, several of them out of the leg, but this time I went to see the doctor again, and he prescribed an antibiotic Bactrim, a sulfer and antibiotic combonation. He also gave me a total of three refills of the drug if needed. I started taking the meds last night. I write this to warn you not to mess around should you have some sores or boils or carbunkles pop up on your leg or legs. Guest guest
Harry, thank you for sharing your story. It is good advice. I know I tend to not pay attention to myself and put other first.
