Guest guest
Good Afternoon all, I have a 13 YO son who with age, hormones and all the other aspects of getting older has some outburst that have become only controllable by physical restraint or very direct confrontation (blocking his way, forcing him to sit). It was recommended to me that we consider respridal (sp?) but on researching I have seen that many parents have said Ambien (same class of medicine) has been used very successfully and had less side effects. My sons doctor has seen the same thing in others with Autism and is checking into the updated information on this use for us. Have any of you on the list had experience with this medicine to lower or stop the aggressive outburst and anger management issues? Good, bad or indifferent? Looking for input. Thanks.
