KabotCc: Rita Silverman; Irina RozenfeldSubject: Autism Study Announcement via sList The College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development and the College of Osteopathic Medicine, is conducting a clinical research study to determine the usefulness of a cysteine-rich whey protein nutritional supplement on preschool children demonstrating autistic behavior. Who may participate in this study? Children ages three to five who have been diagnosed with autism have no history of milk, rice, or nut allergies have no history of seizures are not currently taking chronic

medications or supplements other than vitamins have no previous major medical problems Duration of the study is approximately 12 weeks. English- and Spanish-speaking families are welcome to participate. Comprehensive behavioral tests for all participating children will be conducted at the Unicorn Children’s Foundation Clinic at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development twice during the study to evaluate changes in behavior.
