ala -alone positive report

Despite the job woes, I am seeing positive things with ala. I have

dropped the dmps as it was causing lower back pain and am just using

ala 12.5 mgs. Towards the end of my last round, I felt a love that

I haven't felt in a long time. So hard to explain. But I felt

warmth towards people instead of the usual irritation. I wanted to

connect instead of retreating. It was brief but nice. Usually I

feel a weird sort of disconnect. Again, so hard to explain. Also,

my hair is looking better and a couple of friends I hadn't seen in

awhile both commented on it. My bowel function has almost

normalized as well. I'm also feeling warm and almost like I'm

sweating. It's been very hot here but I feel this way when I'm in

air conditioning. The bloating is going down as well. I should add

that I've been on a very restrictive diet and am following ALCATs

recommendation. I've also been taking thyroid meds for awhile but

I've been taking these meds since last winter but never noticed much

of an improvement until I started the diet and ala. It is a roller

coaster. Last weekend I was despairing at my muscle pain but after

this last round I feel better. I still have a long way to go but

these are encouraging signs.

It's so wonderful to hear you're responding well to ALA! This is

just a random thought, but is it possible you've had lead exposure

along the way? I'm simply connecting your back pain (bone?) and the

fact that DMSA chelates lead.

Glad to hear ALCAT testing & dietary changes are helpful.

One day, I will react well to ALA, too! I've decided to go through

with having all crowns removed where we don't know if amalgam may be

present underneath. My dentist was conservative & didn't take

anything out and create needless expense where crowns didn't appear

to pose problems, but he said people often come back to have them

removed if health problems persist. My teeth & gums have been great

without replacing crowns, but ALA chelation is really rough. Of

available records, there is only one crown where I can be certain

amalgam will be found. There are 7 crowns, so it's a difficult

decision, but I'd long sensed that a more thorough job should have

been done in the first place. Will report on how many actually had

amalgam after the work is complete in late October & I resume

chelation.
