, why do you say licorice and hc should not be taken together? I saw

that in another site and it said something about licorice extends your own

adrenals.

I am wondering because I thought licorice helped the aldosterone levels and

was thinking of doing DGL instead of florinef to see if it helps but was

concerned when it said to not take them both in a protocol.

Then again, at stage 7 I doubt it matters much since my cortex is shot but

was curious on your opinion.

Hydrocortisone is absolutely needed in stage 7. I have not heard of ONE

person healing adrenalds from that stage without it. Sea salt vitamin c and

B vitamins also . Herbs that are supportiv include Maca, Ashwaganda and

sometimes licorice root though I am not certain Licorice root should be

taken WITH HC. Rest and change of lifestyle are also many times needed. It

is a slow process, adrenas do not heal quickly. Also gettign thyroid RIGHT

is a necessity as well.

I think it would be hard to knwo how much cortios is enough and what is

too much using the Licorice. DGL Licorice is not going to help your

aldosteone levels it is that ingredient that is active and acts liek

aldosterone. It does extend the life of your own cortilsl AND what you

take so I just fear the dosing would become WAY to complex to know what

was doing what. With HC you should not nee dlicorice too but it migh tbe

very useful when it comes time to taper off the HC. BTW never assume

your adrnelas are goners! I have heard of a person that was on 20-30MG

HC for over 20 years and tapered off and was fine!
