Guest guest Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 That is correct. DGL is for ulcers, etc. but it is the glychrrizin (sp?) that has the steroid/aldosterone like effects. That is what is removed to make Deglychrrizinated (sp) licorice (DGL). Uusally if an article says to use " licorice " it doesn't mean DGL.
