Hello Ivette,

Our son is also terrified of the Dentist. We take him to the School of Dentistry

at Nova (NSU) off University Dr just South of 595.

They are very patient, the supervision is by outstanding Dentist's with a lot of

experience, and the young dental students that have attended to our son have

been very interested and careful and are typically in their last year just

before going out on their own.

This topic comes up all the time here and you can search the archives for

discussions about Dentists and see quite a few recommendations for the NSU

school.

I hope this is helpful,

Steve

I agree with Steve, we go to the special needs clinic at Nova, and the care there is outstanding. They have so much patience with Noah...when we started coming, he was too frightened to even get in the chair, let alone let them look in his mouth. Last month, he sat very still and let them take x-rays and clean his teeth, a major breakthrough! Not to mention, I believe they are the only dental facility in Broward that still accepts Medicaid. Only 1 big problem I encountered a wait list. I was given Head of Department's. Phone number and I never heard back. I called for a follow up and the person I spoke to said she would call be back, I never heard from her.Sent from my Samsung Epicâ„¢ 4G Steve wrote:

I took my son to a very nice dentist that has an "in-house" anesthesiologist. He is very attentive and explains everything. He is located in the fountain shops in Plantation. Dr. Weiss. . sleepdentists.com. He takes special needs patients. To: sList Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 1:38 PM Subject: Re: Re: Dentist
