Guest guest
Hello all, I am from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and am going to chelate (Andy Cutler protocol; read a lot (his book also)). I have one question: 9 amalgamfillings are removed, including one beneath a gold crown (including the gold crown). I still have a gold bridge, with MAYBE amalgam beneath it. I very strongly have the feeling to remove that bridge too (although gold seems okee, but it still is a metal). I " cannot live " and chelate with the feeling that there still can be some amalgam in my mouth. Next monday I am going to my " amalgam-free " dentist to discuss that matter. Probably it is not possible to be SURE if there is amalgam beneath. I want not take the risk. I have multiple sclerosis for a long time, but amalgam much longer. I like to know your opinion about this. Thanks in advance. Greetings, Simon _________________________________________________________________ De leukste video's en de beste concerten vind je op MSN Video http://video.nl.msn.com/v/nl-nl/v.htm
Guest guest
Lots of dentists say " no metals " at all to be in the mouth. I am just adding this as you do not want the expense of replacing gold with another metal, or metal lined crowns, to then have to replace them again. Personally I have had all metals removed to be sure. Val I have multiple sclerosis for a long time, but amalgam much longer. I like to know your opinion about this. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hello Val, thank you for your opinion. Monday there will be placed composite with porcelain (where first my amalgam with gold crown were put out) and also monday (or next monday) my gold bridge will be put/get out. My dentist said also it is much better when there is no metal in the mouth. (she is very good: " amalgam has to be removed " ; " it's a crime that... " ) The only thing (next weeks/month) is " which material has to be placed as a bridge ? " . Maybe you (or ) has an idea ? Money is no issue; everything is expensive, though I think here (in the Netherlands) it's a lot cheaper then in de States. Guest guest
Personally I think the gold is fine, it is any amalgams it is in contact with, even those under it, that are the problem. If there are none of those it is almost always fine. Andy > > Lots of dentists say " no metals " at all to be in the mouth. Guest guest
Andy, thank you for your answering/opinion. Do you think it is possible that terrible itching and " fast " detoriation (probably starting after placement of the gold crown and bridge 4 and 7 years ago) could be the result of the gold ? Gold crown and amalgam are taken away 10 days ago; the gold bridge (with mabye amalgam beneath it) will taken out within 8 days. I have m.s. for over 25 years, and first everything went " slowly backwards " . (just 8 amalgamfillings for 30-40 years ?) Thanks in advance.
