Guest guest
My limiting symptom is joint pain which is strongly correlated to Candida. Diet is losing its ability to control it recently, so I am adding new supplements like Glycine and Glutamine to help. I also quit the DMSA to see if that helps. I'm ok with slowing chelation if I can break the joint pain as to prevent permanent arthritis. I know DMSA hinders neutrophils from attacking Candida. Is ALA less likely to be a problem? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , I get joint pains and arthritis too, on and off, and found it VERY interesting what you said about DMSA hindering neutrophils etc coz I started on ALA a few weeks ago and introduced 3mg doses of DMSA last week with REALLY BAD joint pain for the first time while chelating, even though I had the typical yeast response from chelation from the beginning that only flares up now briefly when I up the dose or eat foods that set it off (I'm going very slowly, now up to 9mg ALA). I had attributed the arthritis to cumulative overacidity from candida and DMSA; bicarb helped a little but each dose of DMSA would bring on the joint pain on afresh and so would a yeast flare up from eating an apple. I have decided to go on with ALA alone as there's no pain for me on that and friends on another group report that use of ALA alone as a chelator is now showing a release of ALL their toxic metals into their hair. I am encouraged and interpret this to mean once the ALA grabs enough of the mercury, autochelation begins. *Fingers Crossed* I used Nizoral to get the initial yeast flare-up in line and now use Undecyn to keep it manageable. Do you drink coffee? I am recently finding it to bother the arthritis. Thanks, > Kind Regards > Kelle
