Guest guest
On the right hand side of the screen of this message there is a place that you can click on to send me an email. Attach the pdf and I'll look at it. I don't think that Andy has worked out counting rules for Australian tests but I can tell you if the general trends are there or if there isn't enough information. It would help to include symptoms in the text of the email. If anyone knows how to interpret Australian tests let me know!! Hi Cara, I hope you don't mind if I post my comments on your hair test here as a record in case we get another hair test from Australia. I have your test in my mail box. Cara's test is from InterClinical Laboratories. There are 30 essential elements tested (DDI tests for 23). The reference ranges are different for the two labs. There are only two elements above the mid point of the range on Cara's test. This makes it look like an all low test. If the same hair was tested by DDI I would guess that it would meet the first counting rule. With an all low test there is some sort of malabsorption. The first thing to try would be extra stomach acid with meals. (Betaine HCl and pepsin) Ca and Mg and high with Na and K low indicates that there are adrenal and thyroid problems. The high hair calcium with low lithium suggests mercury poisoning. The low mercury also suggests mercury poisoning (some people are genetically less able to excrete it and once a certain level of toxicity is reached the mercury interferes with detoxification). It looks to me like you are moving in the right direction, Cara, and you have found the right support group. Good luck J

(Betaine HCl and > pepsin) While this is commonly believed and does often help I am not sure I would rely on this interpretation very literally. The pepsin and HCl help a lot of people with other kinds of tests too. > Ca and Mg and high with Na and K low indicates that there are adrenal > and thyroid problems. Adrenal problems. Na/K ratio is what governs thyroid, and it is a less reliable indicator. If you do have both you still start with the adrenals, and once those are in better shape thyroid status is a lot easier to figure out. > The high hair calcium with low lithium suggests mercury poisoning. > The low mercury also suggests mercury poisoning (some people are > genetically less able to excrete it and once a certain level of > toxicity is reached the mercury interferes with detoxification). > > It looks to me like you are moving in the right direction, Cara, and > you have found the right support group. > > Good luck > > J >
