Guest guest
Does anyone have this problem? I had to go to the ER last night because I woke up in such excruciating pain in my stomach area, they think I may have an ulcer or gastritis, not sure. I wonder, since I've been loading up on the Buffered Vitamin C (6000 mg a day) plus all these other supplements and things (Vit E, Pantothenic Acid, B Complex Vitamin, Calcium Magnesium, an iron supplement, Vit D, probiotics, Isocort, Nystatin, etc.), that it is literally eroding my stomach lining. Let me know if anyone has had similar problems. I've always had GI problems, but not this painful. Thanks, metta
Guest guest
Did you work up to that large dose of vit C or just go for it? I couldn't even tolerate 1000mg of buffered C. My bet for your bloat and what-not is on the C unless you're taking the HC on an empty stomach. I would back off on that C and see if you do better. > > Isocort or HC either one can be very hard on the stomach as can Vitmin > C. You should always eat withthese to protet your stomach. Guest guest
You might want to try DGL. (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice). You can get it at health food stores. It helps your stomach build up protective layers of mucin -- and then supplements can't cause so much irritation and damage. I take it about 30 minutes before I take my handful of supplements and it has helped me a lot. (Make sure you get a brand that has some type of sweetener in it -- otherwise it tastes like licking out an ashtray). Hope it helps you too! Amy > > Does anyone have this problem?
