Guest guest
I've tried it for over about 2 weeks now and just can't do it anymore. I feel like absolute crap on this stuff! I jumped in with the full 1 grain dose that I was prescribed and that was a rough couple of days. I then learned on this site to back off, which I have done, but I still feel so horrible. I started with 1/4 of a grain and I guess that was bearable but not great. Started other things at the same time so I thought problems might have been from that but the more I read, the more I'm sure it's just the Armour. I'm now taking 1/4 in a.m. and 1/4 in afternoon and feel miserable. I'm foggy-headed, feel very spacey, tired, headachey and just plain icky. Should I try something else?? Is it possible and worthwhile to try and even smaller dose? I'm so looking forward to tomorrow when I don't take ANY! I need a good day! Guest guest
I would say your adrenal support is ineffective. You will probably need HC and that will lwoer your estrogen. High estrogen is one of my best markers I look for when deciding if a person;s cortiosl is bqd enough ot nmeed supplemental HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

This is why its recommended to never try too many different things at once. Whenever Im given something new, I will skip everything else and only take that, and give myself at least twelve hours to see how it does. Well, aside from the thyroid med I have to take daily. Try, not taking the Armour for a day and see how you do. If you still feel the same, then try not taking the other things for the next day. This way you can tell what is causing this. Yes, you should look into adrenal testing and ferritan levels. These being low would make for a yucky reaction too armour. Also, consider where you are at with your menstrual cycle if anywhere, this can interfere with feelings of 'yuckiness' as all women know of. Guest guest
So where should I start? Should I stick w/ the supplements I'm on and consider adding hc? No, I haven't had ferritin tested. Don't know much about that (ok...I know nothing) so I'll read about it tonight in some old posts.
Guest guest
I would add HC. Cheri Re: Need suggestions..cannot handle Armour anymore So where should I start? Guest guest
Thanks, Cheri. Can you point me to any articles, books or even files on this site that talk about the benefits of this, as well as the risks and how to start it. While I see it mentioned on here a million times a day, I still don't understand it. > >
Guest guest
What are you asking for? Sorry, I am not clear by what you wrote below. Articles on what? How to start what? You can also use the keyword box in this Yahoo group when you click on " messages " . It will give you all the history of our discussions about Armour intolerance after a period of time, HC and how it can help, reverse T3 issues and clearing out with T3, cellular resistance, etc. Not sure if articles are there...some links may be provided, but if you need articles in order to work with your doctor you best bet is to Google for that info. That is normally where I find what I need. Cheri -----Original Message----- Thanks, Cheri. Guest guest
Thanks, Cheri. You really have been great since I joined the list. I do feel better today knowing I have more direction. The temping and trial and error business ahead makes me nervous and seems to be a big undertaking but I need to do it. I shared some of the info with my hubby last night who really has no idea what I've been dealing with. I think it was pretty eye-opening and maybe, just maybe, he finally has a better idea of what a big deal this all is. Anyway, really just wanted to say thanks! Guest guest
I had a terrible time trying to tolerate Armour too until I started taking it sublingually (under the tongue). Now it works like a charm, or rather the way it's supposed to! I started with just 1/4 grain (15 mg.) and increased it by 1/4 every week to 10 days. I'm still not optimized but I'm only at 45 mg. so I'm on my way! Di > > I've tried it for over about 2 weeks now and just can't do it anymore. > I feel like absolute crap on this stuff! Guest guest
The only difference this should make is in better absorption. If your problem is actually because of low ferritin or low cortisol, this might make you worse. I recommend fixing the cortisol/ferritin problem first. Guest guest
Thanks for your response. When I went to 1/4 grain, it was tolerable...I guess...but I still did not feel well. I kept forgetting to try it under my tounge though. So does that mean you take a regular tablet and just let it dissolve under your tounge? I do think I need to hold off on the Armour though. I'm taking some adrenal support supplements and I'm looking into hc this week.

Guest guest
Yep...super low cortisol. Haven't had the other tested but I'm going to research more on that today and ask my doc about it next time we chat. Thank you!
