My friend did this although it would be 11/12 years ago now. She had a baby

on xmas day one year. Had a coil put in at 3 months old or thereabouts. Lost

weight from pregnancy at a steady rate until he was about 6 months old when

it began to go back on. She was devastated when she found out she was

pregnant and it was established that she was probably 2 weeks pregnant when

it went in. She was due on New years day. She was very worried at the time

about the coil being embedded in the baby somehow or him growing round it and

had many nightmares about. i have to say at the time the health professionals

were not very helpful other than *thats hardly likely*.

She ended up with a CS in the Nov due to an abruption (placenta coming away

and heavy bleeding) but according to the doctors the coil was flattened over

the top of his head and not involved in anyway, baby was fine and they are

strapping boys now.
