Is this one it? I saved it for future reference.

Page down. Normal female cycle temps run from 97.9 (ovulation) to 98.8

(incubating your hatched egg!) While you can't expect your temps to be

stable for about a week after ovulation (they should be in a rising

pattern), there should be periods before and after that the temps

wouldn't vary more than .2 day to day.

Am I being stupid? I dont get how this graph works if on day 28 the

temp is 98.8 and then day 1 is 98.3 yet it is shown as a flat line.

What am I missing? Also is it possible to have a 15 day cycle (from 1

lowest basal temp to the next)?

For me it drops pretty steeply when I was doing basal (not average)

If you're hypo or have other hormonal problems, then yes, you can

have very irregular cycles. Stress affects it too. My shortest was

two weeks, my longest seven. And that was when I was in my 20s

BEFORE I was hyper/hypo and on medication.

As for the graph, they obviously simplified it for the article, just

to make the point that temps do vary during a woman's cycle. My

graph is much more jagged, and both the basal and the daily average

move up and down in tandem.

Really, in tandem? Man, mine are nothing alike. Basal is much more

smooth. And on my lowest basal day, my average is almost at its

highest. If the temps were adrenal related, would the basal be

affected also? I don't know why I am obsessing over these temps. But,

since I dont have a period, I am just shooting in the dark.

That is really interesting Barb, thank you. I think it will take me a

while to really digest some of this. I am thinking that I will just

keep tracking my basals for a while and see if I can figure something out.

Yes, this is an absolutely classic & normal temp graph. If your chart

looks like this, then you are ovulating (I don't remember why you don't

have a period - hysterectomy?)

Never mind the temperature scale - obviously this is the cycle of a non-

hypoT woman :-) I run considerably colder than this, but the shape of

my charts is exactly the same.
