Guest guest
For these labs I woul not have recommendded HC at all. I would have said t start with Licorice root around 9-11 am and possibly around 7-8 PM. Isocort if this was ineffective along wiht adaptogens. Once on meds You monitor progress wiht graphing your tmeps per www.drrind.com AND BP readings. Taking BP first sitting then immediately after standing up will tell you if your adrenals are supported properly. If it falls you need mroe adrenal support. Once temps are stable you would then raise thyroid until the temps are high enough. >>Morning 10.9 High - range 3.7-9.5 Cortisol Noon 1.6 Low - range 1.2-3.0 Cortisol Evening 1.4 Ok - range 0.6-1.9 Cortisol Night 0.2 L range 0.4-1.0 This test is with no HC being taken.. Here's the question. It has been said that once HC is started, then the cortisol tests are useless?? If so, then how do you know when things are " better " ? Considering these numbers what is a suggested plan of attack? Assuming at some point " testing " is desired to determine how things are going, what do you do?<< -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Normally I would say it shows lowe coertidol but it is HIGHLY unusual to have that high BP with very low cortiosl. I woul dthink there is something else at work here besides just a cortisol problem. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thank you, Val. I wonder what it possibly could be? Something unusual that I noticed yesterday at chelation clinic was my IV site puffed up and they had to put it in the other arm which almost immediately puffed up also. I didn't know if being hypo, the high blood pressure or what caused it. This has never happened before. Slightly desperate, Pat Re: high/low cortisol and how to adjust it? Guest guest
I'm still learning about this whole topic and don't know to much but may I ask, are you taking the Licorise like Val suggested. If so maybe that's the problem. Many years ago I took licroise for a couple of months and then from one day to the next I had MAJOR water retention. To the point that I couldn't wear my shoes and my eyes felt to big for the sockets. I don't even want to know what my blood pressure might have been. I responded not because I know much about high BP but because of the comments about taking Licorice. On the realythyroidhelp.com site says he doesn't recommend licorice. He has seen to many problems. Might be something to think about. > > Val and friends, what if any significance do these BP readings show, other than being way too high: > > laying down 213/112 - standing 199/118 > sitting down 208/113 standing 203/108 > > Thank's for any suggestions. > > Pat > > > > Re: high/low cortisol and how to adjust it? > > > For these labs I woul not have recommendded HC at all. Guest guest
No, had toxic reaction to Licorice My ND suggested Yucca in place of licorice. Maybe some other supplement. I'm going to start eliminating one by one, as it could be something I'm taking. I am retaining water - have to wear a larger ring than my wedding band, and eyes are more swollen than they used to be. I kind of suspect the Isocort as it really went up in the last four month Appreciate your input. You're right about the licorice. ..Pat Re: high/low cortisol and how to adjust it? > > > For these labs I woul not have recommendded HC at all.
