No, no symptoms of high cortisol. Still have low BP and sitting to

standing it still goes down.

Should I ramp back up or do you think I could just go for it and see

what happens?

Since I only have a prescription for 30mg a day, I will have to use

cream for the other 10mg. With that in mind, how would you dose the 40mg?

Thanks,

Right now my dosing is: 10, 7.5, 5, 2.5. I was doing 10,5,5,5 But I

have been having a harder and harder time getting to sleep since I

started taking 5mg at bed time.

Since I only have a prescription for 30mg a day, I will have to use

cream for the other 10mg. With that in mind, how would you dose the 40mg?

, sometimes you need it that high to stabilize and then you can start

going lower. My temps were stable at 35 mg, then crashed during my period

and T3 usage for about a week and a half, and now they are stable again and

I have been able to lower to 30 mg. The other thing is, if you are taking

them orally and not digesting well you might need more because it isn't all

getting into the cells. I switched to cream and it is working much better

for me, probably because I have such thin skin that it is really getting to

where it needs to be.

Thanks Val,

They werent any better at 35mg though, so do you think I would need to

go to 40mg? That just seems like sooooo much! I am toying with the

idea of weaning down totally to take another test. But I can't seem to

make a decision and stick with it to save my life!

Thanks Cheri,

I think you have hit on 2 interesting points.

1 - the period issue - I still have my ovaries but not my uterus thus

no period. But, based on other comments like yours (possibly they were

yours) I was trying to see if there was any " cycle " to my temps that

might point to my hormonal cycle. But, I don't seem to be able to find

one. My 2 lowest temps this month were 10 days apart. My 2 highest

were 8 days apart. I am wondering if I should take them 1st thing in

the AM and see if I can track something that way.

2 - I have celiac and have been wheat free for 3-4 years. So,

technically I would think that I would be healed enough now to absorb,

but maybe not.

Yes, taking your temp first thing in the morning is the way to chart

your hormonal cycle.

(I've been doing this for umpty-ump years. I take my temp internally,

in Celsius. And now I'm taking my temp orally too, in Fahrenheit.

It's getting a bit silly...)

Thanks Rosie,

do you have to take them right when you come to conciousness?

Sometimes a noise or something wakes me and I might just turn over and

try to go back to sleep. If I do that, do I miss the basal? If not,

how long do I have to take it before I miss it? Would it be ok if I

just took it orally?

I take mine 4 times a day from when I get up to the three hour blocks.

However, I only use the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th temps to average since the 2nd

starts at the 3-hour mark. I also track the temperature in my room to see if

ambient temps are affecting them (not really). I have a spreadsheet I put

the info in so it is really easy and that way I can immediately see if I

forgot something. I then do my HC at the same time so I only have to set my

alarms for both.

I'm not Rosie, but that is what I do. In fact that's the only way I can get

my basal. Because if I wake up when I need to actually get up I can't stay

in bed for the extra time to take the temp. There is always something I must

take care of immediately that gets me out of bed in the morning. I asked

about putting the thermometer under my arm and falling back asleep and was

told it should be fine. From my understanding, basal shoulc be taken

immediately upon waking up before you move around any.
