Guest guest
It sounds liek you have never goten enough cortisol to heal the adrenals, and when you stay at too low a dose the AF only progresses. I knwo I wasted 10 months on 20 MG and only felt mildly better then went to 30 and got amazing result.s -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
It was most likely caused from lowering your dose and then your period starting. Some actually stress dose when it is time for their period. I know I'm going to tryi ti next month. I alwyas feel worse during my period. You probably arent' on a high enough dose of HC. Are you graphing your temps to see if they are stable? It also isn't a good idea to lower your HC dose while you are increasing your thyroid. The best way to go about it if you have adreanl problems as well as thyroid is to get on your optimal dose of HC. You tell this by graphing your temps. When they are stable you know that you are at the right dose. Then you gradually start increasing your thyroid until you get that to the optimal dose. You monitor that with basal temps, symptoms, and bloodwork (mainly Free T4 and Free T3). Then once you get that under control you can start trying to wean off of the HC. You have to do it slowly though and if you start having low cortisol symptoms it is a sign that your adrenals aren't quite ready yet. Hope that helps! Cherie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Or did something like a cold come along and force you stress dose and you just felt better? Just wondering how we can ever be sure we're on the right dose. Guest guest
I had a really bad upper respiratory infection, and when I went ot 30MG a day I felt GREAT, the infection cleared in a day and I just had so MUCH energy I knew it was what I needed. SO I stuck wiht it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So, even though my temps seem to be holding steady at 40mg (except for these two days recently that I asked about in another post re: vitamin D) and BP rises upon standing (systolic usually around 10 points or more), the fact that I'm dizzy and no energy today is indicative that I could use more. I'm almost sure that I do unless I completely overshot my mark and I need less. My doc agreed to prescribe prednisolone so I guess that I'm going to give that night-time dose of that a shot. > > I had a really bad upper respiratory infection, and when I went ot 30MG > a day I felt GREAT, the infection cleared in a day and I just had so > MUCH energy I knew it was what I needed. Guest guest
I think the BP rising is mroe definite than the steady temps t use to know if you are on enough. BUT if either is not right, thne you are likely to have trouble raising thyroid. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I meant that it would correct my BP thereby making it harder for me to determine whether my HC dose is still correct given fluctuating temps due to this super vitamin D dose. Not doing well today - lots of back and rib pain and GI stuff. Maybe I am herxing b/c of the vitamin D? Have you ever heard of that? Even if it is, suppose I should press through this one b/c getting my vit D is important for thyroid hormone right? Thanks, > > The sal t wil not change your BP except for what needs corecting. Guest guest
Are you taking the Vitamin D orally or shots? Can they give oyu shots? That might be a better option for you wiht your digestion troubles. Keeping your digestion in shambles is not helping heal anythign and is a HUGE stress by itself. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
