Guest guest
>but if it is really high cortisol what is bothering me right now (after clearance), it seems a bit slow to reduce 2.5 every 2-3 weeks. Will it be unsafe to reduce the dose quicker? I am not an adrenal person but I think that group is on break over the holiday weekend so will have a stab. Normally we would say reduce slowly but if the stress that was causing you to need it went away (ie clearance) then you may be OK going down faster. Try it and see and if temperatures start bouncing or you feel other symptoms then be prepared to come back up again. Guest guest
> > >I will try to reduce very carefully, and as you said monitoring temps and symptoms. I actually feel considerably better, relieved, after having reduce 5 HC in only two days. Pulse rate has gone down very noticeably! Guest guest
> >Pulse went up suddently yesteday at midday and has stayed high since... >Yesterday my temps during the day where high even up to 99.2 (post.ovulation) and that makes me wonder if I am actually hyper... but I still have hypo symptoms... I feel sooo lost... You might be hyper, it's more likely from the way you describe it that you are low cortisol and producing some adrenaline, do you feel wired and jittery??? Yof can play with it 2 ways, strass dose cortisol, say and extra 5mg, and see if it relieves symptoms, the other way you can try is to lower T3, say by 20% of your dose and see what happens. The HC will be almost immediate, 30 mins or so, and the T3 it will be several hours before you feel the difference, maybe not till the next day. Guest guest
>I think that one of the things that is making me feel so low is the thought that things are not working and, who knows, may never work. This though is dragging me down. If you are not feeling the effect of small changes then the chances are that you are a fair way away from the sweet spot. The FT3 lab looks reasonable, this tends to suggest that Cortisol, Aldosterone, electrolytes, vitamin D, or vitamin B12 might be involved. Adverse effects increasing T3 are often cortisol or ferritin related and cortisol in particular can lead to a drop in temperature after taking T3. Has anything shown from previous labs??
