Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have one more filling to have removed and have two crowns to deal with somehow, one of which is broken. The filling is tiny and is in one of my incisors. There may be some metal under the intact filling, so I am having that worked on too. I listened to Andy's interview on AutismOne Radio yesterday and one of the things he said was that it is important to have a doc who has good manual dexterity because placing composites is pretty challenging. The dentist I had used to have my other bigger amalgam removed this Spring was a mercury-free dentist, though I am not sure he meets the criteria for really doing the removal properly. He did use a dam, but I don't remember a separate source of breathing air. He did use charcoal, and I had been pretty well supplemented before and after having the amalgam removed. All that said, he is kind of old and I don't know whether his dexterity is up to par. The composite he placed seems fine, and I didn't seem to suffer any real ill effects from having my big amalgam removed under his care. Should I go back to him? Or can someone recommend someone else? I am in south/central Indiana (Bloomington) and need to get this done soon as I have to go back to work in October. Between work and my ASD kiddo, I will never get it done if I don't do it now. Thanks in advance. Anne
