Which protocol to use after amalgam removal?

I had my amalgam fillings removed from October to December of 2005.

Since I thought I was rid of all my amalgam, I fiddled around with

different chelation methods. I tried chlorella (made me really sick)

and chelating every other day with DMSA (made me sicker). Nobody had

to tell me not to let them do an IV push of chelator on me (really,

really scary.) See DMPS backfire for info on that.

Finally I found Andy Cutler's book. I got a hair test done in

Novermber of 2006 to confirm my mercury poisoning diagnosis and I'd

suggest you do the same because it shows if there are other heavy

metals interfering with your health too. It also indicates if your

thyroid or adrenals are having problems, etc. The hair test

confirmed that I had amalgam illness.

It took me a while, but I located my dental records and found I had 3

crowns with amalgam under them for sure and another one which might

have amalgam under it. It turned out that the " mystery crown " did

have amalgam under it too. From January to March of 2007, I had the

amalgam removed from those crowns and then began to chelate

according to Andy's book.

His protocol is the only one I've found that works. Everything is

going exactly as he said it would. I keep a list of my symptoms and

how they're disappearing. Right now I'm in my 6th month post-amalgam

removal as shown on p. 52 of his book. The diagram on that page

shows a slight exacerbation of symptoms from month 6 to month 9 post-

amalgam removal. My symptoms aren't really that much worse, it's

just that my forward progress has slowed down a bit. I'm looking

forward to getting through my 9th month post-amalgam removal, and

the continuation of symptom remission.

Focus on the supplements as well as the chelation since they help you

heal the damage done by the mercury. It's like a miracle not to hurt

anymore. I had been so accustomed to an aching body and aching

joints! It's a welcome adjustment, let me tell you!

I just wanted to let you know that if you find on your hair test that

you are truly mercury poisoned, Andy Cutler's advice is the advice to

follow. IT REALLY WORKS!!!

Wish someone would have written me a letter like this when I first

began. It would have been so helpful.

Hope this helps to clarify your future direction of healing. I know

it's tough to know what will really work when you're just starting

to figure out what's wrong with you.

Best wishes for health and happiness,

A fellow mercury sufferer

P.S. My husband is having success with Andy's protocol too. He met

the counting rules test on the hair test for mercury poisoning

because of numerous allergy shots and flu shots.
