Your labs look like my latest ones! I remember that Val has said that a TSH expressed in three digits indicates resistance. I'm looking for my resistance now, and also exploring the fact that my ferritin is falsely elevated, indicating inflammation. I'm hoping the inflammation is from a tooth that just had a root canal. That would be the easy fix.Good luck. I'll be watching for an answer from someone more knowledgeable than me.AnnTo: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, June 1, 2010 2:37:40 PMSubject: Temps Refuse To Come Up - New Labwork?

I can't seem to get my temps up for anything. Last month's average for the second half of my cycle was between 98.3 and 98.4. So I thought perhaps I was on too much HC and started weaning. I've gone from 27.5mg to 22.5mg over the past 3 weeks and feel fine...but now I think my temps are even lower (I'm not sure whether or not I ovulated this cycle). So I was thinking of ordering some new lab work to see where I stand. On the list so far are TSH, Free T3, and B12. I just tested iron a month ago and it was fine, so it's too early to retest that yet. Can you think of any other tests I should run that might clue me in as to why my temps won't come up? I'm currently on 68.75mcg Cynomel and my last thyroid labs on 75mcg were as follows:

02.22.10 TSH - <0.006 L (range 0.450 - 4.500)

02.22.10 T3, Free - 6.0 H (range 2.0 - 4.4)

02.22.10 T4, Free - 0.07 L (range 0.82 - 1.77)

I can't seem to raise Cynomel because it increases my heart rate too high. Plus, the last time I was on 75mcg my acne got worse.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Just curious, but how do you feel? There are a lot of people who probably don't average right on 98.6 who feel fine. Not saying we shouldn't shoot for that, but there can be other issues that lower temps. Based on your TSH and Free T3 I highly doubt its thyroid.

I've actually been feeling quite good lately! That's why I'm so confused...lol.

Maybe I should stop focusing on temps so much and just focus on symptoms...or

lack thereof ;)

It might be worth checking electrolytes, that can be a cause of a fast

pulse.

Feeling good is a sign that most things are right. I can rarely get to

27 and stay there but feel pretty good

This is just my theory, but I sometimes think we can get the reverse placebo effect if everything that is supposed to be right isn't quite there and yet we actually feel good. In your case a .2-.3 shortfall from normal body temp.

Nick,

What do you mean by rarely getting to 27?

>Good to know I'm not the only one who can't achieve those temps :) A new cycle

just began, so I'll let ya'll know what my " new " averages are in a few weeks to

see if there's any cause for concern or not. But if I keep feeling like this, I

won't care what my temps are! lol :)

Feeling good is a good thing!
