Broward: social skills groups for childen ages 8-11

Children Center for Development and Behavior is offering a free group session on

November 10 from 10:00 am to 1:00pm to those children ages 8-12 that may have

enough language to communicate but need help doing so. The goal for this Social

Skills group is to increase functional social skills that the child can use in

everyday social settings. This group focuses on reinforcing positive behaviors

such as following instructions and routines, functional communications skills,

and positive non-verbal communication skills such as eye contact. Each session

is 3 hours long and meets every Saturday. We also have one fieldtrip a month to

help increase the generalization of skills beyond the group setting. Our social

skills groups are ran by senior ABA therapist.
