Have you ever had a sleep study done or been evaluated for apnea?

Well, feeling tired and unrefreshed can be a symptom of adrenal fatigue too.

Something about the way you worded it made me think of apena though. Of

coures, that could be because I apparently have it. Don't freak out though!

I don't really snore either. Well, apparetny I do if you take a mic to my

throat. Anyway, it doesn't necessarily mean that you completely quit

breathing. There are different levels and severity.

Hm, now usually if i get 9 hour or more i do okay,

but if i try to get up early or try to get less than 8

hours , yeah i feel like i will die. I feel horribly

sleep deprived if i do that, like i got 4 hours of

sleep, i start getting palpitations and tachycardia

REAALLY bad. I tried getting up yesterday after 7 hours

of sleep and wow my body just started falling apart.

I slept 9 hours today and feel like i healed a little

it of the damage that was done yesterday but i feel

really stressed. I guess i just cant do that to myself.

Gawd, i hope i don't have it...just another thing on

my list of problems.

I heard you can get the oxymetry machine for free to

test that first before the sleep study? I need medical

insurance before I can do the sleep study. What kind

would i need to cover it?

I don't know about insurance. I have some but if I do have to go for a

sleep lab study, I expect it will not show anything, becaue I don't

believe I will sleep. At all. Even if they make me go for a second

night. They said I could be given a sleeping pill, but if ANY sleeping

pill worked for me I would NOT need the G*D* test! The sleep consultant

was not pleased with me when I told her that, LOL. But they are all so

wishy washy and no one, no one would give me a straight answer to what

would happen next if I had two nights in a sleep lab and did not sleep

at all. The lack of any straight answers makes me extremely unhappy.

I did have an over night oxymeter test, and am going to the PA tomorrow

to request another one, for two nights this t ime, because the first

test results may not be accurate as I slept better than my usual. As it

turns out I am borderline for needing nighttime oxygen. With luck a two

night test will be more definitive. And I think I could tolerate oxygen

at night better than a CPAP anyway. And oxygen is a lot easier to get

Rx'd. As you say, the oxymeter test is free. Free to me, free to my

insurance company. So I'm not sure why my PA was reluctant to let me

have one. I'm going to see her, so if she refuses me a second test, she

will have to tell my to my face, not have her nurse tell my on the

phone. God, I am getting so cranky about jumping through these hoops for

a simple free test. And I don't want to do the complicated expensive

one, you'd think they'd be happy, but noooo..................
