That's what I was thinking. Now I need to figure out a way to get him to up

the script from 15mg per day to at least 30 mg per day. Sigh.... I figure

I'll probably need more along the lines of at least 35mg though.

Well, my doctor called me back and agreed to go up from 15mg to 20mg per

day. He said I can take it however works best for me, which is good, but I'm

still going to be short 10-15mg per day. At least I can use the cream,

although since I seem to absorb it weirdly I'm not really sure how much I'm

taking when I'm using it...He's going by the saliva results which show my

cortisol low in the morning and at noon. They are low normal (the bottom

normal number) at 4 and at midnight. At least he's willing to listen some.

I've thought about getting him a copy of Safe Uses of Cortisol, but I'm

afraid he'll go by the 5-5-5-5 thing which won't do me anymore good than

now....

Val, does a decreasing dose like is recommended have less of a

chance of supression than a straight doseing pattern?

Early in the book (the " Patient Instruction Sheet " that he gives

out), he points out that while a decreasing dosing pattern that he

does use doesn't exactly replicate the diurnal cycle of the body, it

doesn't attempt to destroy it either. If so, does that mean that on

a decreasing pattern you could " more safely " go to say 30 than you

could using a straight pattern of 7.5 4x/d? Although good luck

getting the doctor to listen to that.

Honestly I don;t know. I only use the decreasig pattern as that is where peole

are able to get thei rnormal life abilities back. Also repalcing hormones in the

MOST nbatural rythym just makes sense.
