No I asked ignoramus about testing my ferritin last week and he said

my hemoglobin was excellent so he saw no need in testing it because

it was the only one that mattered. Said to keep taking my vitamins

and I'd be fine. I do have my old test results from Sept but I wasn't

taking a multivitimin then and I have been now since Sept 22.

WBC 7.6 range 4.1-10.9

Granulocytes 67.5 39.4-74.6

Lymphocytes 28.9 range 13.7- 47.5

MID Cells 3.6 range 1.8-21.5

RbC 4.63 range 3.6-5.4

Hemoglobin 12.8 range 11-16

Hematocrit 36.3 range 32.4-47.2

MCV 78.4 range 80-100

MCH 27.6 range 26-34

MCHC 35.3 range 32.3-35.1

RDW 15 range 10.5-15.8

Platelets 227 range 131-409

I was also going to take the saliva test from Canary club but when I

went to doc last week he gave me a depomedrol shot for my bad cold

and chest congestion I had. This was also the 19th day of my cycle.

Val advised me to wait till next month to do this test. Whats the

difference in DT and canary clubs tests?

You T3s and T4s look low to me. So you probably need more thyroid. Just

because they are in range doesn't mean they are optimal and you will feel

well. The cortisol level looks low to me, but I'm used to looking at the 24

hour salvia levels from DT. You might want to consider doing one of those

for a clearer picture. Have you had things like your ferratin and b-12

levels checked?

DT is Diagnos-Techs through Canary Club. Definately do as Val suggested. My

hemogolbin and hemocrit were a tiny bit higher than yours and my ferratin

was 14, so they aren't that good of an indicator.

A.M. Cortisol taken at 9:57am (ref range 8am (7-9am) 4.0-22.0) 8.3

TSH ref. range .47-4.68 .22

Free t4 ref. range .7-1.8 1.0

That cortisol is NOT OK. It is horrible. JEEZ when are doctors going to realize

that " in range " means oyu are alive, btu there is still a place in that range

here you should be.AM cortisl should be at least 20 fo rwomen. Your T4 is also

too low. I like ot see 1.4

Do you see any reason why they would have put the time in wrong on the

A.M. Cortisol test? Wouldn't that interfere with teh results as well??

Whats my next step of treatment now? This doc did refer me to an endo

but I couldn't get in till March 28th and my next midcycle isn't until

around March 8-10. I plan on doing saliva testing then but is there

anything I can do now to help me feel better? Creams perhaps. I did

start charting my temps this morning.

Val if we all pitch in and pay for medical school for you will you go?

LOL And if you promise to treat us all. I'm sure we can start a fund.

Trouble is you can;t start any meds for adrenals until you have all the

testing done. Once you start meds it si VERY hard to come off to do

testing which you MUST be off all adrnela meds that change cortisl

results at least 2 weeks for testing either cortisl or ACTH.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I have alreayd put abotu 20

years of study into this and could not/would not go to pharma run

colleges to have my education ruined! At 53 with my health issues and a

business of my own to run I do nto think I would hold up in college

anyway. And I WOULD have to support myself through it so that has always

kept me away from colleges.

I agree with Cherie. I think that Val will say that your 8AM cortisol

is low enough to warrant further testing via 24 saliva tests and that

your T4 is low in general. I've had my frees, both of them, tested

three times in the past three months and insurance company hasn't

blinked yet. Why do these docs worry so much about what OUR insurance

might not pay for - it's not like the doc's office will get charged

for it.
