My accupuncturist has me reading 2 books one is about foods and mood. There is a ton of info about eating the right foods, especially proper proteins. I have to force myself to eat. The " self test " I'm off the charts on needing seratonin. A number of aminos are suggested. I did purchase some 5-HTP. I'm exhausted and DON'T sleep, even with major meds like 2 mg klonopin and 20 mg ambien. I feel like I'm going crazy. SSRI's made me feel worse and I dropped them (Zoloft and a few others through the years) Does anyone have any experience with this. I'm currently on 10 mcg cytomel takine 5 am and 5 pm. Using the supplements suggested to lower Cortisol. My Diagnostechs Cortisol results at end of my post. I'm sure I need more Cytomel but am trying to work with my shrink and she is at least looking at info I provide. Guest guest Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 Yes Mam, I am taking Seriphos PS one am one a couple hours before bed per your suggestion. Have been doing this a couple weeks. I found a different brand locally, and may get that again, it's a much smaller dose, but the different formulation may be why I was actually sleeping some. I'm spending so much money and energy just trying to figure out what works.
