Guest guest
My husband is on Delta. It has worked for him, his temps are now a stable 98.6 on Delta & 4gr of Thyroid-S. I have been trying to get there for 2 years & it only took him 3 months. Gale > > Does anyone use Deltacortril (prednisolone)? Guest guest
I'm on Pediapred which is liquid prednisolone which is the steroid in Deltacortril and Medrol. I've been HC for months and recently added an evening dose of the Pediapred to try to smooth out the peaks and valleys at night. So far it has been a mixed bag for. Sometimes it helps me get through the night and sleep well - too well, I can't wake up in the AM. Sometimes like last night, it seems to have no effect as it didn't help keep me asleep at all. I know that our docs and the mod here favors HC because it is bio-identical, Delta and Medrol aren't, and it is easier to mimic the body's rhythm of cortisol production with HC than it is with the prednisolone drugs because they are time or extended release. I have yet to find a good rhythm on HC so Delta is looking better and better to me all of the time. > > > > Does anyone use Deltacortril (prednisolone)? Guest guest
Thanks for the explanation. I didn't think about it not being bioidentical. I have some that I had from treating my adrenals before that I may use up and then go from there. Is there a schedule somewhere that says what times of day to take HC? Thanks!
