Behavioral Paraprofessional Dade County

We are currently searching for a behavioral paraprofessional with at least 60 college credits to shadow our son, full time, in school. Our son is 10 and is in a mainstream 5th grade gifted class in a Dade County public elementary school in the South Miami area. The para-professional position has been funded by the school board and is expected to continue into middle school. The ultimate selection of the para-professional is at the discretion of the school's principal; however, we are able to submit names and applications of interested persons to the school.

The position requires the para to maintain our son's focus on his classwork and assist in maintaining his classroom behavior at an acceptable level. Successful experience in shadowing twice exceptional students would be ideal. The position can begin immediately.
