Parental Resilience Survey Request

My Name is Curtis Cripe. I am a stepfather of

an ASD child, health care professional, and a Doctorial candidate

with Northcentral University School of Behavioral Health Sciences, Prescott,

Arizona. Currently I am conducting a research study that, through your

participation, can help other parents, agencies, and potentially government programs.

The study is exploring in families raising special needs children how resilient

parents can help keep their families strong. This study is focusing on the

relationship between each parent's resiliency and how that affects the entire

family's resilience and parental stress.

As you are well

aware, families raising special

needs children face unique challenges that parents are

required to navigate that differ from families who are not raising an special needs child. These differences are often not understood by family

therapists and other support agency members. It is hoped that the results of

this study will help influence family therapists by showing what these

relationships are when raising a special needs child.

The survey

should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Both parents are required to

complete the survey at the same time. If both parents do not complete the

survey, unfortunately that survey will not be counted. In other words, I

need both parents to complete this so I can show the relationship between both

parents' resilience and how that affects the family.

Here is the

link to the survey. Please either click on the link or copy it into a browser

A copy of your

results that show how resilient each parent is within your family, your overall

family resiliency, and how much stress each parent is under will be available

after completing the survey. These standardized survey instruments are the same

instruments that a family therapist would use, but would require three separate

meetings. Therefore, there is value in your results of the survey to you

and your family beyond the value this study can bring to other families facing

the same challenges.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Curtis
