Guest guest
I have been asked to post this on behalf of the researcher- please direct any questions to the contact person below. Thanks! From Nikola Lucas: We are currently conducting a study to examine brain activity in children, 3 to 5 years old, with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) during a facial expression observation task. The study is conducted in Dr. 's lab in the Department of Psychology at Florida Atlantic University. During the study, your child will be presented with pictures portraying both happy and fearful facial expressions on a computer screen. During this presentation, children will wear a soft electroencephalogram (EEG) cap to record brain activity. Following the presentation of pictures, children will be asked to identify and imitate the happy and fearful facial expressions. As parents, you will be asked to fill out a short survey regarding your child's behavior. It is important to note that these procedures are completely safe, noninvasive, and will not cause any pain or discomfort whatsoever. In return for participation, parents will receive a $20 gas card for travel expenses and children will receive an age appropriate sensory toy. To participate or for more information, please contact Nikola Lucas at (714) 369 –0019 or nlucas7@...
