Autism Intensive Communication Academy: Application for 2013-2014

This special education option, offered by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, is designed for non-verbal children with significant developmental delays. MDCPS has three Academy Sites: Blue Lakes Elementary School, Redondo Elementary School, and Gratigny Elementary School.

These programs are technology-rich, have a very low student-to-teacher ratio, and are highly targeted at supporting the development of communication skills.

Applications are due by January 15, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year.

Ransom SCORE Activities

for Children with ASD

One Saturday evening a month, families of children with ASD are invited to the Ransom Everglades Upper School Auditorium for a special Movie Night. Ransom Middle School is also offering SCORE soccer clinics (for children ages 3-15) on Saturday mornings in February.

Recommended for families and students ages 16-22! This seminar will explain the different life paths for high school and beyond. Post-secondary options include college, technical careers, and vocational employment. Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic: Social Skills Group

Our state-of-the-art 9-week social skills intervention program teaches children age-appropriate skills based on individualized needs. The unique parent group teaches parents how to foster generalization of their child's skills. Now accepting applicants for the Spring 2013 group!
