Guest guest
Hello everyone! Just wondering if anyone has crusied with disney recently. I am looking to book for my son's 13th birthday ( it's all he talks about) and wanted to hear about your experiences. Good or bad? Any suggestions to get the most out of the trip would be much appreciated! Thanks-
Guest guest
Hello, I would suggest your travel agent to communicate with the staff that will be in direct contact with your son and provide them with all the information about his interests, skills and needs besides his age, diagnosis and also mentioning that he is a first time cruiser celebrating his birthday. Disney Cruise Line has an outstanding customer service and will do their best as long as they have in advance all the information to accommodate your child's needs and make his experience onboard memorable. Good luck! Guillen Travel Agent Cruise Planners > > Hello everyone! Just wondering if anyone has crusied with disney recently. Guest guest
If you have a child in the spectrum, look into www.autismontheseas.com. They can work with you on getting special accommodations for your son, which can really make a big difference for all. They also do group cruises with staff members trained with autism which include respite for the parents. We've done a Disney cruise with AOTS and loved it, and actually thinking about doing another one in the summer.Good luck! Guest guest
Is it more expensive than a regular cruise? If you have a child in the spectrum, look into www.autismontheseas.com. Guest guest
Not sure, but it's not cheap. Their respite and family activities is all included in your ticket purchase. They also offer financial grants for families that qualify. Their website explains the process. Is it more expensive than a regular cruise? Guest guest
We cruised on the Dream to Bahamas with my 2 kids ages 3 & 5 and 2 other families we are friendly with. What a great time. We told Disney of our needs ahead of time and again when we checked our son into the kids club. The first night of cruise they may call you to come get child the minute he/she askes to leave but I suggest trying to leave them the first day for atleast an hour to get used to surroundings. After the first day my boys couldn't wait to go back and play. They enjoyed everything on the ship and Castaway Cay. They ask constantly when we can go again.
