Guest guest
AllI need input from any parent that is already on the waiver and has requested behavioral services. I know there are many thousand still on the wait list, but trust me it is not all its cracked up to be. The services if you fight long and hard to get are taken away on a moments notice and the ADP people hide behind " policies " and " directives " that ADP somehow cannot produce copies of. And they are not easily gotten. It took me 6 months to get the first service after I was awarded the waiver in a crisis situation. Here is my questionMy daughter has a behavioral plan but her cost plan is frozen and the hours she needs are not available in her current cost plan, which does not restart until July 1 Accordingly to my BCBA she was told by Dr Toro at ADP that she can only write a plan for My daughter for the hours that are left which does not begin to cover what she needs per the BCBA. In other words the BCBA was told to write a plan that the state of Florida will pay for and not what she knows my daughter really needs. Dr Toro has to approve the plan so if she writes it the way it should be Toro wont approve it rather she has to write it based on hours left. This smells familiar to the federal governments investigation of Florida and its practices of giving children what they choose to give and not what the healthcare and specialists say they need. Any advise, information or help is greatly appreciated. Guest guest
I was told med waiver is no longer paying for behavioral services. Medicaid is now paying for it. My son is 19 and has med waiver. He had no more money left on his cost plan and now they are applying to Medicaid for his behavioral services. I hope everything goes smoothly. med waiver paying for behavioral services based on what is left in the cost plan All I need input from any parent that is already on the waiver and has requested behavioral services.
