We listened to lastyears feedback and made improvements!Dear WalkAbouters,Event day is almost here! There are great things in store for the 2013 DMF WalkAbout Autism. Thanks to the feedback that we have received from parents, participants and our community partners regarding their event day experience last year, we have made some significant modifications to the 2013 event layout:-This year the event will start inside the stadium, on the field. We have also created a Team Gathering Zone, a space adjacent to the event registration tents where participants can meet their team members, enjoy breakfast and take team photos before checking in at the registration area.-Chill zone rooms will be made available in two key locations around the stadium for those in need of a quiet and tranquil space throughout the event.-As for the walk route itself, it will be less than a mile long and is located within a pre-selected area around the stadium. Once the walk portion is over, the stadium plaza (where the Dolphins Team Store is located) will be home to a great community resource fair, interactive games, activities and entertainment for the entire family.-Current/former Miami Dolphins football players will also be on site to sign autographs in the plaza area. In addition, event participants will have the option of going back inside the stadium to enjoy a fun football skills clinic that will be set up on the field along with other great activities. The inside of the stadium will be transformed into calm, mellow place to hang out, enjoy a picnic or throw your football around with your friends!Participants that have pre-registered online for the event will receive an email with all event day instructions (parking information, map of event and other event day tips) on Thursday, January 24th, 2013.
