Guest guest
Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid and we just found out my son has plagiocephaly(wheww long word). I am kind of excited because I have been so worried about his head and didn't know why it looks like it does or what could be done for it , if any. But I have found out there is treatment, as you all know. Yea! I am in just in the first steps. I spoke with some one at DOC Bands today and I go to his ped. monday for a referral. I also believe he may have torticollis because he has always had his head to one side (right side) I think thats what may have caused the plagio. Well anyways I am so happy to find this group. And as soon as I find out how to post pic of my little man , I will. His name is Bradley and he is 4m. Have a Blessed Day! Ingrid
Guest guest
welcome! my daughter was the same age when we started getting treatment for her torticollis and phlagiocephaly. if you guys havent already, start getting physical therapy for Bradley's neck. It really helps! My daughter is almost 8 months and her torticollis was resolved in a month and a half! she has only had the starband helmet on for three works but we're seeing great improvements already! Good luck to Bradley!ingridtab3 <ingrid2b3@...> wrote: Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid and we just found out my son has plagiocephaly(wheww long word). Guest guest
Hi Ingrid, I am also new here and welcome to this great support group. What is your location? My son is 9 monhts old and only 4wks on the DOC Band, we're in land and CT is Virginia. I am so happy that you started your early, our ped advised us to wait and see if the repositioning would help, but I think that was all a waste of time, but hey... I am gald we got it now and hopefully he'll have it off before his 1st Birthday!!! Keep in touch and Good Luck!
